Hello! I’m Chris Goble, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families thrive mentally, emotionally, and relationally. My diverse background spans home building, restaurant management, and coaching youth sports, which enriches my clinical work.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Ottawa University and have worked in various therapeutic settings, including Devereux’s residential treatment center in Scottsdale, counseling children and adolescents, and providing counseling at Scottsdale Bible Church. I’ve also led support groups for youth, men, and those facing chronic or terminal illnesses. My approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a commitment to helping people heal and build healthier relationships.
I specialize in working with couples using the Gottman Method and EMDR, incorporating techniques from EFT and DBT to strengthen relationships. I also support individuals and families in fostering emotional growth and well-being.
I take a faith-based approach to therapy, offering a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their challenges and pursue healing. I see myself as a fellow traveler on the journey toward growth and stronger relationships.
On a personal note, I’m married to my best friend and wife, Dr. LaDan Goble (PSYCHIATRYOFSCOTTSDALE.COM), who has been my constant companion and inspiration. Together, we have two wonderful sons who have taught me how to become a better father and friend.
My journey of healing and personal growth has deeply impacted every area of my life—my marriage, parenting, friendships, and work as a counselor. I’ve faced challenges like chronic anxiety and fear of public speaking, but through faith and self-reflection, I’ve found peace and confidence.
Healing began with addressing past wounds, especially from childhood, which shaped how I connected with others. As I worked through these, I experienced growth in patience, empathy, and understanding—strengthening my marriage, deepening my bond with my children, and fostering healthier relationships with friends.
This growth has also shaped my work as a counselor. My personal healing journey has deepened my ability to support others, offering both empathy and insight as I guide clients toward their own transformation.
I believe healing and growth are possible for everyone, and I’m passionate about helping others experience this same transformation in their own lives.
Over the years, I have successfully overcome several challenges that once held me back. I conquered chronic, seasonal anxiety that impacted my daily life for years, and I now live with greater peace and stability. Public speaking, once a source of fear, is now something I enjoy and feel confident in.
Through self-reflection and growth, I’ve come to understand how childhood attachment wounds influenced my ability to connect with others. This insight has been transformative.
I am married to my best friend and wife, Dr. LaDan Goble, who has been my constant companion and inspiration. Together, we have two wonderful sons who have taught me how to become a better father and friend.
I’ve also developed the tools and skills necessary to navigate difficult conversations in my marriage, strengthening our communication and deepening our connection.
In my practice, I take a faith-based approach combined with wisdom and compassion. I see myself as a fellow traveler on the journey—walking with individuals and families.
Please feel free to reach out to me at 480-369-1971. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your path toward growth and healing.
Warm regards,
Chris Goble, MAPC, LPC
